Part L

Other than our SAP2005 and SBEM services CHBS offer a variety of further consultancy services regarding achieving compliance with Building Regulations Part L for both domestic and non-domestic buildings.

We can provide detailed consultancy regarding minimum heating, lighting, cooling and ventilation requirements in order to comply with Part L.  We can also advise on issues regarding ventilation specifically, which fall under Building Regulations Approved Document Part F.

We can also provide invaluable consultancy regarding construction, we can calculate and provide advice on U-values and details in order to avoid thermal bridging.

We have found that our Part L consultancy services can be most valuable where extensions and refurbishment projects are taking place.  Generally in these scenarios there are several possible routes to achieve Part L compliance, we can analyse various options and provide guidance to achieve the most cost effective solution.
